The mission and objective of this organization is to provide children of all nationalities the opportunity to learn to play and appreciate mariachi music. This will be accomplished through a highly sensitive, formal program which will develop their musical skills. Included in the formatted program is the ability to read music, play different musical instruments, and develop vocal skills as well as performance skills.

This program will assist in promoting cultural awareness and a deeper understanding of all aspects of the Hispanic heritage. This will be accomplished by developing their appreciation and love for Hispanic music.
Ultimately, these young people will develop a strong appreciation for mariachi music and enhance their knowledge of historical facts and artistic growth which is not taught through our present educational system.

The educational goal is intermixed with their cultural awareness together with development of their musical instrument skills which will in turn enhance their scholastic aptitude. Upon completion of this program, they will be able to play three to four instruments. This will greatly enhance their qualifications to obtain scholarships for different universities and other institutes of higher learning. This organization has already seen the product of it’s efforts in youngsters that are presently performing on a professional level, including international recording contracts, for example, Mariachi Campanas de America and Los Caporales have several key players that originated through the efforts of Mariachi Infantil.

MUSICALES DE TEJAS INC., PARENT ORGANIZATION OF THE WORLD FAMOUS MARIACHI INFANTIL GUADALUPANO & MARIACHI INFANTIL DE SAN ANTONIO, AND IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OUR LADY OF ANGELS PARISH, ANNOUNCES FREE BEGINNERS MARIACHI, ADVANCE MARIACHI & VOCAL CLASSES FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES.  CLASSES ARE ON MONDAYS, & WEDNESDAYS FROM 6-8PM AND SATURDAYS 11AM TO 1PM AT OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS PARISH CLASSROOMS.  CLASSES ARE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MR ALEJANDRO RAMIREZ, FOUNDER AND MUSICAL DIRECTOR FOR THE PAST 32 YEARS. 

CHILDREN WITH 2 OR MORE YEARS EXPERIENCE ARE ENCOURAGE APPLYING FOR MARIACH JUVENIL DE SAN ANTONIO, AN ALL MALE GROUP OR ROSITAS DE SAN ANTONIO, AN ALL FEMALE GROUP.  THESE GROUPS WILL BE COMPOSED OF SELECT ADVANCE EXPERIENCE MARIACHI STUDENTS FROM AROUND THE CITY.  PERFORMANCES ARE AT MARKET SQUARE, ARNESON RIVER THEATER, FOKLIFE FESTIVAL, MARIACHI VARGAS ESTRAVAGANZA AND MANY MANY OTHER EVENTS.  ALL INSTRUMENTS AND TRAJES WILL BE FURNISHED AT NO COST.
